On Saturday, December 1st, the Humanities Truck will join Whitman-Walker Health at Freedom Plaza for the 32nd annual Walk & 5K to End HIV. The Truck will exhibit the history of the Walk from 1987 organs as “The Next Step” to gaining its name as “AIDS Walk Washington” to now as the Walk & 5K to End HVI. Through the presentation of recorded oral histories, videos, and culturally significant Walk materials, the Humanities Truck will display the greater Whitman-Walker community’s continued effort to fight stigma and save lives.
