“Fifty Years of Doing History from Below”

On Wednesday, March 20th at 4pm, we launched the Humanities Truck Lecture Series with Jeremy Brecher’s “Fifty Years of Doing History from Below.”

Jeremy Brecher is author of History from Below: How to Uncover and Tell the Story of Your Community, Association, or Union and fifteen other books on labor and social movements. His oral history-based books include Brass Valley: The Story of Working People’s Lives and Struggles in an American Industrial Region and Banded Together: Economic Democratization in the Brass Valley. He has also produced oral-history-based public television documentaries and the radio series “Remembering Connecticut.” His most recent book is Climate Solidarity: Workers vs. Warming. He is a co-founder and research and policy director of the Labor Network for Sustainability (www.labor4sustainability.org).
