About The Author

Julie is a Ph.D. candidate at American University where she studies twentieth century American history. Her research interests include the politics of memory and identity, commemoration, material culture, racism, and gender studies. Julie's current research explores how traveling exhibitions reinforced race, gender, and class hierarchies during the post-WWII era. Julie is also the digital strategist for the Humanities Truck.
