The Humanities Truck will join the National Park Service at “Dance to the Future.”
In addition to skating, the evening will feature hand dancing, DJ Spirit, live music by the band “Bela Donna,” and park visions for the future.
Held on selected Saturday evenings, each Late Skate event features FREE skate rentals, music, a live DJ, arts and crafts and other activities. Late Skate events are reminiscent of the 1968 “Summer in the Parks” programs which connected urban residents with parks through music, or nature activities and sports. A special display about Summer in the Parks will be featured at each event. Bring your charcoal grill and cooler and spend an evening! Each Late Skate has a different theme.
