HIPS the DC harm reduction organization, the Humanities Truck, and the Plant Medicine Coalition brings you Plant Medicine Part II: A Workshop on Plant Medicine.
For those that attended our first plant medicine event at Hole In The Sky, there is no doubt that one part of the conversation stood out. One of our panelists (Mariah) discussed how to use a variety of plants for medicinal purposes, as well as how to make tinctures, teas, and other herbal concoctions.
On March 10th, we will be returning for a workshop entirely focused on how to use plants for medicinal purposes. Focus will include, but not be limited to bodily, spiritual, and emotional concerns related to drug use informed by a harm reduction approach. Mariah will return and will be joined by Jennifer West of Plant Mama Alchemy and HIPS’ very own Nkeiru Braxton.
They will be teaching you how to make various herbal medications, and those who attend the in-person event will be able to take something home with them! We will also feature a community altar so please bring an offering, intention, personal photos, crystals, or anything you feel connection to!
