It’s A Small World After All at Petworth Library

November 9, 2019 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Join us for the second event in a series by the Petworth Neighborhood Library that explores D.C. history, public art, and storytelling. Learn about the history of the Petworth neighborhood through resources from the Pilgrim Foundation archives and DC Public Library, in partnership with the Lily and Earle M. Pilgrim Art Foundation and Georgia Avenue Thrive. Community historian Peter Stebbins will talk about the Lebanese, African, and Caribbean diaspora, as well as the practice of community-based archiving. Share your stories of the neighborhood with us as part of the Humanities Truck’s “Mobilizing Memories” initiative!
(This event is recommended for ages 18+)
