Happy (and early) Mid-Autumn Festival! In partnership with the 1882 Foundation, AARP-DC, the Organization of Chinese American Women (OCAW), Chinese American Citizens Alliance, and HBI-DC, we are delivering gift bags of fruit, mooncakes, and PPE to the Wah Luck House in Chinatown to commemorate next week’s celebration. The Humanities Truck looks forward to another visit to the Wah Luck House residents to commemorate the holiday with Asian pears from the Arcadia Mobile Market, mooncake from the Asian Bakery in Rockville, and reading material about on-going 1882 Foundation projects to capture the history and culture of D.C.’s Chinatown neighborhood.
